Is there a way to kill a process via name rather than just pid? So far what I've been doing is 'ps -x grep Dock' to list the running processes that have 'Dock' in the name and then typing 'kill -9 ' and the pid. I assume there's a better way to do this.
(I'm running Mac OS X.2 and writing an applescript that need to kill the dock so that it will relaunch and reload it's preference file. Sending a command to the terminal works well, it just requires my input and makes the script not very automated.)

Removing Incompatible Products

- During the installation process, ESM BE can detect and automatically remove some brands of incompatible software
- However, certain software can be detected by ESM, but must be removed manually
